Avocado – plain and simple

Avocado plain and simple

For years I have been preparing guacamole using a complicated recipe with many ingredients mixed in a food processor.  Each time I made it however, my youngest son would ask me to omit an item like, sour cream, then chili powder etc. until I was down to just a few ingredients.  I can’t believe how much fresher and more delicious our guacamole is with the new slowly modified recipe. It’s also much healthier.  So I decided to share the joy with you all!  Below is how to do it:

Avocados chopped (doesn’t matter how many)

Chopped onion (We like the sweet ones. Amount?  You choose.)

Chopped tomato or halved cherry tomatoes  (as many as you like)

Lemon juice or lime juice fresh squeezed (whatever is in the fridge) but not both.

Chopped jalapenos (optional) salt & pepper (also optional).  Mix all in bowl with a fork or spoon. Great as a dip or spread for a turkey sandwich.

Enjoy fresh wholesome guacamole often and listen to your children when they make recommendations of any kind.
