Fresh from the garden, cherry tomatoes with chopped basil, both picked and washed right before preparing and serving. Add some chopped mozzarella or other soft cheese, toss in vinegar, lemon or lime and olive oil, salt and pepper, then add olives if you have them. I was out tonight, but kalamata olives are my favorite. I spear one of each ingredient on a toothpick and enjoy slowly while sipping pinot noir on my patio. Not much work gets done thereafter, but plenty of planning and dreaming.
