The weather was amazingly beautiful on a late January afternoon, so I ventured out for a country walk. Several miles down the rock road I noticed a beautiful horse staring at me from high up in an open field. The horse started to follow me at a distance until we were both another half mile down the road joyfully out of our fences for the day. Looking around for the horses home, I noticed several possible options so started opening gates until the horse chose which one to enter. We shared a mutual trust and genuine kindness for each other on the journey back to our caged lives. It was the most beautiful horse encounter.
